Safer Internet Day

We are using the internet now more than ever before, and know that online access has many benefits including learning, entertainment and a way to keep in touch with loved ones. But we also need to use it responsibly and ensure that children are only using sites/apps that are suitable for their age.

https://www.internetmatters.org has guidance for each age group to help you make safer decisions. Instagram, snapchat, TikTok and even Youtube are not advised for use until the age of 13 years old. https://www.youtubekids.com/ is a safe alternative.

Please take some time today to check that the settings on your child’s device are correct, and take a look here https://www.nspcc.org.uk/keeping-children-safe/online-safety/ or https://www.childline.org.uk/info-advice/bullying-abuse-safety/online-mobile-safety/staying-safe-online/ for further advice.
