Our Summer Camps are GO!

Following the last few government announcements, we are delighted to announce that our Summer Camps 2020 are on. Obviously our camps will run differently to what they have in the past but the main thing is we can offer parents/guardians and children some sporting activities to participate in this summer.

We will however only be running our Glossop Holiday Camps, our non-residential Adventure Camps, plus a number of pop-up JungleFit Camps.

We’ll be running our Glossop ‘Football & Multi-Sport’ Holiday Camp for the first 4 weeks of summer from St. Luke’s Primary School. Headteacher, Mrs Littlehailes, has supported us tremendously over the years and even more so over the past few months. We are extremely thankful to Mrs Littlehailes and all the staff at St. Luke’s and we look forward to using their facilities this summer.

We are hoping to confirm the last 2 weeks of summer ASAP, but for now here is our Summer Camps 2020 programme –

We would appreciate it if you could forward this message to as many parents/guardians as you can. We have taken the decision to not distribute our usual flyers so spreading the word via school emails, messages and social media posts would be hugely appreciated.

Parents/Guardians and children can guarantee that we will be continuing to run activities with all guidance being adhered to at all times, plus our own measures will again continue to run as follows -

·         Ensuring personal hygiene is at its upmost

·        Maintaining social distancing throughout the session

·        Children and coaches to wash hands before and after sessions

·        Equipment to be limited and to also be cleaned after each use (use hot soapy water or provided antibacterial wipes)

·        All session content to adhere to the points above

We also continue to follow these extra measures –

·        No more than 2 staff members allowed into the PAS unit at any one time

·        All PAS equipment to be returned on Friday and to be cleaned that day at the unit (use hot soapy water or antibacterial wipes)

·        Weekly Friday zoom meeting with all working coaches to reiterate guidelines and discuss concerns or feedback with coaches

As you can see, we will continue to adhere to all government guidelines and our own safety measures to ensure the safety of each child and our own members of staff.

Finally, let’s hope we can bring some normality and plenty of fun back for the children this summer!
